Photos of la manguera and el macho

This innovative teaching tool, played like bingo, will make pesticide safety training sessions more interesting and enjoyable and help workers retain more of what they have been taught.

A caller reads a question in Spanish from a card drawn from the deck. The other players check their boards for the answer. All players gain as they learn and relearn basic chemical-safety rules.

Important Messages
The illustrations and messages on the 54 cards highlight important farmworker pesticide use and safety concerns to pierce cultural barriers hindering effective communication of health and safety information to Spanish-speaking workers.

Each package consists of 54 cards, 16 game boards, and complete instructions in both Spanish and English. All game pieces are in Spanish. Printed in full color, they are on heavy card stock so they will last through many sessions.
