The UC Statewide IPM Program produces CD-ROMs and DVDs as part of its state-of-the-art
publications and educational materials related to pest management. The staff
works closely with area IPM advisors, farm advisors, specialists, and researchers.

Students, professionals, growers, and master
gardeners will benefit from this interactive CD-ROM teaching
tool, released in December 2001. Covering more than 60 beneficial
species on 75 narrated screens, this tutorial focuses on recognizing
signs of parasitism and predation, identifying specific natural
enemies of common pests, and understanding the biology of several
predators, parasites, and pathogens. Twenty-four interactive
games and quizzes, including multiple-choice, matching, or "complete-the-diagram" questions,
enhance learning. Publ.

IPM in Schools Training
This set of DVDs was designed as an educational tool for school
IPM coordinators, administrators, maintenance staff, private contractors,
and others involved in managing pests in schools. The DVDs
will also be useful for anyone who manages pests in and around
public or private buildings, including public agency personnel
or private contractors, especially those interested in less-toxic
strategies. Four self-contained modules are included in the
package: General IPM Principles, Ants, Cockroaches, and Weeds. Each
module includes a narrated presentation filled with colorful images
and videos, followed by interactive scenarios to foster audience
participation and reinforce key points. Handouts and ideas for
hands-on activities are also included. Publ.
