Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Premature bud drop

Premature bud drop is an abiotic disorder caused by poor cultural practices.

Solutions

Provide appropriate irrigation and good drainage. This season's bud drop is caused by inadequate cultural care the previous summer and fall when buds were developing.
