Fruit doubling and spurs
Fruit is doubled when two fruits are fused together; when only one of the fused fruits is developed,
the fruit is spurred. This disorder is caused by poor flower development as a result of late summer water
stress during the previous year or of excessive shade.

Some varieties may be more susceptible to doubling and spurs than others. |
