Whitewashing trunks
Borers are frequently a problem on young trees whose trunks have been sunburned. Prevent sunburn by applying
white interior (not exterior) nonenamel latex paint diluted with an equal amount of water to young trunks.
Whitewash trunks from 1 inch below ground level to at least 2 feet above to prevent sunburn. |
