How to Manage Pests

Pests in Gardens and Landscapes

Wind injury

Strong, persistent wind can cause the scaffolds to break.

Solutions

Insect pests and disease can render a tree susceptible to wind damage, weakening scaffolds or rotting the structural wood. Proper pruning and training of young trees and controlling insects and disease will help prevent wind damage.
