Pests in Gardens and Landscapes
Seasonal development
and life cycle—Navel orangeworm
In spring, first- and some second-generation eggs are laid singly on damaged or mummified fruits or nuts
that remained on trees after harvest and through the winter. Later generations lay eggs on hulls of newly
forming or ripening fruit or nuts. Eggs are white when laid, but turn pink within a few days. |
