Leptomastix dactylopii
The parasite Leptomastix dactylopii controls only the citrus mealybug. This yellowish brown wasp
lays its eggs in late-instar nymphs and adult mealybugs, preferring hosts in warm, sunny, humid environments.
At warm temperatures, Leptomastix can complete one generation in about 3 weeks. It has been released
in combination with the mealybug destroyer to control citrus mealybug successfully in greenhouses.
