Pea leaf weevil—Sitona lineata
The adult pea leaf weevil is grayish brown and about 0.2 inch long.
Pea leaf weevils chew semicircular notches on margins of leaves. When weevil infestations are severe,
young plants can be chewed off at the ground level.
The greatest injury to plants occurs during the seedling stage. Seedlings can be protected with protective
cloth or other coverings. Once plants have grown past the six-leaf stage, treatment is not normally necessary
as plants can grow away from threat of serious damage.
