| DESCRIPTION:
Common yarrow is a perennial weed with spreading rootstocks. Seed leaves are
oblong or rounded. The first true leaves are divided with sharply pointed
teeth. Leaves on mature plants are finely dissected, giving them a feathery
appearance. White or yellow flowers are formed at the ends of stems in dense,
flat clusters. In mowed situations, such as turf, flowers may not be observed.
Common yarrow occurs in cool climates and in areas of frequent irrigation.
