DESCRIPTION:
Corn spurry is a a spreading annual broadleaf. Cotyledons (seed leaves) are fused at the base and have a rounded tip. First leaves are opposite along the stem, hairless, or have short glandular hairs. Later leaves are narrow, threadlike fleshy and form whorls around the stem at the joints. Sticky, branching stems are about 1 to 2 feet (30 - 60 cm) long. Terminal flower clusters consist of small, five-petalled, white flowers. Black seeds have minute, whitish warts.
