Knotgrass
Scientific name: Paspalum distichum (Family Poaceae)

DESCRIPTION:
Knotgrass, a perennial; has decumbent to erect stems and rhizomes or stolons;
6 inches to 2 feet (15 - 60 cm) high; many spikelets, arranged in two rows
for a panicle. They are pale green and elliptical. Leaf blade and sheath have
hairs. Likes moist places, marshes, irrigation and drainage ditches. It is
closely related to dallisgrass.
