Dog injury

Symptoms

Circular spots of dead turf surrounded by dark green rings are characteristic of dog injury. Urination is a problem primarily with female dogs. It is most problematic on bunch grasses rather than on creeping type grasses that can spread and recover.

Prevention and management

Train dogs to urinate away from the lawn. If possible, water affected area soon after dog urinates to flush out salts.
