Item damage

Symptoms

Items left on the lawn may eventually cause the turf underneath to become brown and die, with the dead spot assuming the shape of the item.

Prevention and management

Avoid damage by cleaning up items left on the lawn, such as sports equipment, hoses, or lawn furniture.
